Dec 9: The Drop

Bench Press ladder drop set
Warm up good then…
Pick a starting weight and load the bar up with a number of 5# or 10# plates
do 10 reps then remove a plate
repeat until just the bar then start adding plates and go back up.

  1. Did 7 10#’s on each side, don’t remember how many I got each round.
    Got 3 rounds of 8 + 3 reps on round four before failure on the way back up.

  2. Did 8 5#’s on each side. Don’t remember how many I got each round but it went like 10, 8, 5…. and held at 3-4 per rd until last 2 where I think I was able to get 4-6 reps each time.
    Had looong break while Dave and Blong started down the ladder…
    Got 4 rounds of 8 reps before complete failure set in on the way back up.

    Lots of growth reps were in there…Good times.

    Enjoyed that workout. Thinking about trying new types of workouts (rep schemes, movements, etc.) each Friday.
